highlights from their first day in the city

The American Museum of Natural History

Favorite exhibits included the Hall of the Universe (where you could see how much you'd weigh on the sun), the dinosaurs, Hall of Ocean Life, and the Hall of African Mammals

The Manhattan LDS Temple

As we turned the corner from 66th St. onto Columbus Ave., I asked the girls if, in the sea of skyscrapers, they could spot the temple. Both had to look a minute before they found the statue of Moroni and realized that it was hovering right over them.

The Big Piano at F.A.O. Schwarz

First the girls tried it out, and then it was Garrett's turn. He went wild! There was something about that piano, with its keys that light up, that struck him as hilarious. And when we let him loose on the board, he laughed hysterically in his own happy heaven.

What a busy first day! It looks like they had lots of fun on the piano! And I would LOVE to see the temple!

You sure know how to show your guests a good time!! I can't believe you did all that in one amazing day - AND with a baby in tow!

I love FAO Schwarz, I was sad when the one in San Diego closed down. Looks like you had a fun time!
