After examining his loot, we got dressed and headed to church. There we listened to Blake speak in Sacrament Meeting on Christ's resurrection, while later, in Primary, I gave a Sharing Time lesson on gaining a testimony of Jesus Christ to a wiggly bunch of children hyped up on sugar. (That was an experience I hope not to have to repeat until Halloween.)
While dinner cooked late this afternoon, we arranged for a living room egg hunt for Garrett to make up for the neighborhood park hunt we didn't attend yesterday because of the rain. It took him a little while to warm up to the idea.

He eventually did, though -- once he found the egg with the M&Ms inside. He loves him some M&Ms.
It's been a pleasant Easter weekend, with good reminders of both the fun behind and the real reason for the holiday. And now, if you'll excuse me, there's some chocolate in the kitchen with my name written all over it.
(My vacation post is in the works, with all the gory and glorious details of our time in Provo. It will be published soon.)

I love the crying picture, because despite how sad it is, it's pretty hilarious and a treasure for the future.
Happy Easter, tambien.
Sarah, Amen about that crying picture. I get a kick out of it myself.
We did an indoor egg hunt as well, and it does take a minute for the little guys to figure out what is going on. But once they know there is candy in those eggs...look out! We love M&Ms at our house too!
Happy Easter!
That was a good Easter basket, if you ask me. The Eric Carle books are Kate's favorites, and you two will have so much fun singing "I'm Just a Little Black Raincloud" with Pooh. The pictures are excellent - 1. "waaa!" 2. "hmmm, what's this?" 3. "hey, m&ms! yay!" 4. "mmm, this holiday's pretty good"
What a fun basket he got. Nicolas loves Polar Bear, Polar Bear ... we have the Spanish version :D
Fun times and what a great reason to celebrate, isn't it?
I'm glad that you take pictures of your crying child--it makes life so much more real. Glad you all enjoyed your Easter!
That is an adorable crying picture! I love it!
We also did an indoor "Easter egg hunt" at my mom's. It was all we could do with such crummy weather. That picture of Garrett crying pulls on my heart strings. Sad but oh so cute!
